Background
DAG is a Kano based, not for profit, non-religious and non-discriminatory organization with its head office in Kano. Having over 80 percent of its operations, since inception implemented in Kano and around the Northwest zone and North Central of Nigeria. Since the year 2000 that DAG was founded and registered, it has developed capabilities and skills on high level and complex project designs. The past years of proven dexterity and consistent development and social work has endowed DAG with structures and operational designs that have helped the organization to implement successful programs with high output and optimality. DAG is structured in such a way that internal and external accountability to our members and donors takes top priority. The key organs of DAG include Board of Trustee, Board of Directors, Management Team and Advisory Board/Patrons. It is the board of directors and the management team that combines its skills to ensure effective delivery and reporting of our entire project.
DAG was established to provide a platform and required intervention that will contribute to a more peaceful and conflict free Kano state, northwest and Nigeria as a whole. The previous ethno-religious conflicts that affected the northwest region more justifies the coming into being of DAG.
