Election Observation
DAG has been accredited by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the General elections conducted to serve as an Observer.
- Presently, DAG is amongst the accredited NGO’s to participate in the Kano state 2021 Local Government elections organized by KANSIEC.
- DAG was engaged as a consultant to facilitate a One-day training for civil society election observers of the 2021 Local government councils elections in Kano state supported by the Kano state open government partnership (OGP) in collaboration with the Kano civil society situation room and the Kano state independent electoral commission (KANSIEC) on 12th January 2021.
- DAG has deployed 280 observers in all the wards of Kano state to monitor the conduct of the 2019 General election.
- DAG was appointed by INEC as Peace-Building Group (PBG) during the Preparation of Minjibir LGA Re-run election on 6th June 2016.
- DAG has deployed 40 domestic observers during the Minijibir LGA Re-run election on 6th June 2016.
- DAG was appointed as a Mediator during the 2016 elections to create an enabling environment to conclude the suspended elections in Kano state.
- DAG has deployed 161 domestic observers in the Northwest zone during the 2015 General Election with support from the IFES project.
- DAG has deployed 271 local domestic observers in the Northwestern zone to observe and monitor the conduct of the 2011 General election, on 23rd March 2011 supported by Nigeria civil society situation room funded by DFID.
- DAG was selected by INEC as a coordinating consultant for the execution of a Zonal CSO Workshop on the Electoral Process at the 2011 general election in Sokoto state on 17th March 2011.
- DAG was engaged by INEC for Voter education, Mobilization of Lecturers, and Student of Tertiary Institutions in Gusau, Zamfara state on 21st – 30th March 2011.
- DAG was accredited by INEC headquarters Abuja to monitor and observe the State House of Assembly Bye-election in Kano state on 14th February 2008.
- DAG was accredited by INEC headquarters Abuja as observers during the Re-Run election in Kogi state, on 25th March 2008.
